Women Playing Hopscotch / Mujeres Caminando Rayuela
I loved playing hopscotch as a child, moving from one box to the next one without stepping on the line was quite a satisfactory feeling then.
Though I don’t care about stepping on most lines now, a successful jump into new phase is still satisfactory feeling to me.
Like in Virginia Wolfe’s Orlando, one life is composed of several lives. We move from one obsession to another.
We women are workers, mothers, laborers, survivors, and often the ones carrying the torch for their little communities or themselves.
Our lives and body changes drastically and we need to find peace within with all the changes. Yet, it is not a static peace we need but one in which we keep on walking.
